Routing: Arusha- Grumeti - Arusha.
Day 1: Arrival Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge, a small hotel located on a working coffee plantation on the outskirts of Arusha.
Day 2: Flight Arusha to Grumeti
Morning transfer to Arusha airport to board a morning schedule flight to Grumeti. On arrival Grumeti airstrip a representative from the camp will meet you for your transfer to the lodge.
Grumeti River Camp is situated in a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park. The camp is just 50 kilometres (31 miles) east of Lake Victoria – Africa’s largest lake. Flanked by two hillsides, this flamboyant camp overlooks a tributary of the Grumeti River which is alive with crocodiles and hippos. The camp is consists of only 10 private tents each with en suite bathrooms. Dinner and overnight at Grumeti River Camp.
Day 3: Day in Western Serengeti
Spend your day exploring wild open spaces, see the last great herds of wildlife in East Africa plains. Take part in any of the activities offered at the lodge, namely; game drives and walks with professional guides.
Unlike other parts of the Serengeti, the western corridor has resident populations of large herbivores (elsewhere in the ecosystem, the vast majority of herbivores migrate). High densities of lion and spotted hyena hold territories around Grumeti River Camp. Resident herbivores are joined each season by huge numbers of migratory wildebeest and zebra. Bat-eared fox and serval are among regularly seen smaller carnivores. Family groups of black-and-white Colobus monkeys reside in the riverine forest. Pairs of dainty Kirk’s dik-dik inhabit bush-clump thickets. Handsome yellow-winged bats often roost in and around the camp. All meals at Grumeti River Camp.
Day 4: Grumeti to Ngorongoro
After an early mornin game drive in the Grumeti River, return to the lodge for breakfast. Then transfer to the airstrip for flight to Lake manyara Airstrip.
On arrival, pick up and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Afternoon at leisure at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
Day 5: Day in Ngorongoro
Breakfast at the lodge. Descend into the crater for a game viewing excursion. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
Day 6: Depart
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Manyara airstrip to Arusha. Pick up and transfer to your hotel in Arusha or the airport for home bound flight.
