Kenya safari

Day 1:Arrival Nairobi
On arrival into Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by Hallmark Travel Planners representative and transferred to the Sarova Stanley Hotel. You can spend your first afternoon relaxing alongside the hotel swimming pool.

Day 2: Day in Nairobi

After breakfast, you will be picked up by our representative to explore the city of Nairobi. You will visit the former home of Karen Blixen which is now a museum. You also tour the Giraffe Centre. You will also visit the Elephant orphanage at Sheldricks. Lunch is served at Karen Blixen Restaurant. Afternoon visit the animal orphanage at the entrance of Nairobi National park and the National Museum of Kenya Return to the hotel for a free afternoon and overnight.

Day 3: Drive Nairobi to Sweetwaters

After breakfast, leave Nairobi for central Kenya. Today you visit the Ol Pejeta Conservancy where you will visit the tamed Rhinoceros and the Chimpanzee Orphanage run by the Jane Goodal Institute. Lunch at the Sweetwaters. Game drive in the sanctuary before you Sweetwaters Tented camp.

Day 4: Drive Sweetwaters to Samburu
After an early breakfast at the Hotel start the drive via Karatina and crossing the equator at Nanyuki, and onwards to Samburu National Reserve. You arrive in time for lunch at the respective Lodge. Relax. At 1630 hours, late afternoon game viewing drive running till sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge or Samburu Intrepids Club.

Day 5: Day in Samburu
At 0630 hours go on the early morning game drive. Breakfast. Morning at leisure. Lunch. Early afternoon at leisure till 1630 hours when you go on game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight Samburu Serena Lodge or Samburu Intrepids club.

Day 6: Drive Samburu to Aberdares
Early morning game drive, prior to breakfast at the Lodge.  After breakfast drive to the Aberdares National park, arriving in time for lunch at Outspan Hotel. Afternoon Activites at the Outspan Hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Drive Aberdares toNakuru

After breakfast depart for the Rift Valley arriving for lunch at a Lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park. Late afternoon game viewing & bird watching drive.

Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here. Dinner and overnight Flamingo Hill Tented Camp or Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.

Day 8: Drive Lake Nakuru to Mara
Early morning game drive then breakfast. After breakfast commence drive west past Mount Longonot and via Narok to the Maasai Mara National Reserve to arrive for lunch at the lodge in Maasai Mara. 1630 hours late afternoon game viewing drive. Dinner & overnight at Siana Springs Camp.

Day 9 Day in Maasai Mara Mara
All day game activities in the Maasai Mara. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. Dinner and overnight at Siana Springs Tented Camp.

Day 10: Depart
After breakfast at the camp, embark on your return journey to Nairobi. On arrival in the early afternoon, you will be dropped off your hotel or transfer to the International Airport for scheduled International.
