Rubondo Island National Park - Tanzania

Rubondo Island National Park - Apart from being a water wonderland, the virgin forests are surrounded by deserted white sandy beaches where bushbucks move silently amongst the wild palms, tamarind trees and figs. The aquatic sitatunga – the most elusive of all antelopes – can be easily seen here, both in the forest interior and in the swampy papyrus. The bird-life is unique with birds from the east central and southern Africa.
