Its a day trip safari originating from the Kenya coast beach resorts to Tsavo East National Park. Tour return back to the Kenya coast resorts – Malindi or Watamu.
Tsavo East National Park is 333km south-east of Nairobi, and 173km north-west of Mombasa. Its relative closeness to the beaches and tourist attractions around Malindi and Mombasa make it an ideal one-day wildlife safari destination for those who do not want to stay overnight.
Tsavo East National Park is a natural area of flat, dry plains, with thorny bushes and swampy marshland near the river. It is teeming with diverse Kenyan animals including large families of giraffes, gazelles, hartebeests and zebras, as well as the “Big Five” must-see animals – buffalo, African elephants, lions, rhinos and leopards.
1 Day Tsavo East safari is specially designed for business and pleasure travelers with little time in Kenya for longer safaris. Tour involves road drive with 3 hours destination connecting duration. It is a nature and wildlife safari .

Leave Watamu or Malindi early morning. Travel along the Gede to Sala road to Tsavo East National Park and enter Tsavo East through the Sala gate. You will drive to the Aruba dam, to observe the wildlife and bird life. Proceed to a lodge for lunch and a short rest.
After lunch there will be an extended game drive. You will leave Tsavo East late in the afternoon, arriving in your beach hotel late in the evening.
ONE DAY TSAVO EAST ITINERARY
0530hrs: Pick up from location/locations to be advised.
0930hrs: Arrive at the Tsavo East National park for the game drive/park formalities.
0930hrs – 1230hrs: After the game drive spend some time at the Safari Walk.
1230 hrs – Lunch
1400 hrs – More Game drives in Tsavo East Park
15300hrs: Safaris Driver /Tour guide staff will then drop you off at a your hotel
