Packing for your African Safari Trip

The most important items to  pack for your africa trip  fall under the following 3 categories:
1. Documents 2. Clothing and 3. Accessories

All visitors to another different country must be in possession of valid and full documentation as per the requirements of the host destination or country. It is therefore important to check the validity of all these. You may or may not require visas depending on your nationality. Please consult.

Also, ensure you have all your documents pertaining to your booking – tours and excursion vouchers, hotel vouchers, flight tickets etc.

Travelers to Africa should bring very casual summer clothes that are easily laundered and dry quickly.

Visitors to Africa on wildlife safari have traditionally worn olive, tan or other neutral colours. These clothes reflect the heat, don’t show the inevitable safari dust, and do not stand out when you are trying to look inconspicuous on a game drive. With cool temperatures in the early morning and evening, layering is the best approach. Laundry service is available in most places so you can replenish your supply of clean clothing as you need it. Much of the time on safari is spent in a van, so lightweight and comfortable walking shoes (tennis shoes or desert boots) are appropriate; hiking boots are not necessary. The style in Africa is casual, even in the evening

You will be in the sun a great deal, and at these altitudes it is easy to sunburn very quickly. A complimentary safari hat is given to each of our guests, so you will not need to pack one. Do pack a swimsuit and cover-up, as some of the properties have lovely pools.

It is important to pack all your personal items that you will need while traveling. These will range from cash to credit cards to toothbrush and the reading glasses. You must not forget any regular medication or shaving cream.

Also, depending on the nature of your travel, you will need things like the binoculars – for safari travelers, camera etc
