Health issues in Kenya.
Anyone coming to Kenya from Yellow Fever infected area is required to have International Certificate of Vaccination. Malaria is endemic certain areas of Kenya and visitors should start taking their anti-malarial prophylactics 2 weeks before arriving in throughout their stay and for three weeks after leaving A visit to a general practitioner before travel is a good idea. Piped water is generally safe in municipal areas but local advice should be taken particularly on safari. Bottled water and mineral water can be purchased in hotel sundry shops. A good sun cream, lip balm and insect repellant cream are strongly recommended.
Immigration.
Needless to say, all visitors into Kenya must have valid passports. Visa Requirements vary from time to time and are dependent on the nationality of the visitor except for citizens of Commonwealth countries. International Travel
Kenya has 3 international airports: Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret. Nairobi is East Africa’s hub. Other entry points include Namanga, Lunga Lunga, Busia and the port of Mombasa which is the largest in the East African coastline.
Local Travel.
Kenya has a fairly good road network and airports. Safari vehicles are well equipped to explore the numerous destinations and attractions. Behavior
While on safari do not collect or buy bones, skins, horns, feathers, shells or teeth. As in much of Africa, is considered a courtesy and mark of respect to dress decently and smartly. Short revealing clothes is not advisable in public places. Always consult a guide on Local customs and habits. It is always advisable to ask someone's permission before taking his/her photograph.
