This is a 12 day tour covering Kenya and Tanzania while visiting some of the best known game parks and wildlife areas. After arrival in Nairobi, first stop is in Amboseli National park in Kenya, followed by Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti in Tanzania before re-entering Kenya and visiting Masai Mara.

Day to Day Safari Itinerary - 12 Days Kenya Tanzania Combo Safari

Day 1: Arrival Nairobi
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met by Hallmark Travel Planners' escort and transfer to the  Nairobi Serena  hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.  Return to Nairobi Serena Hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Drive from Nairobi to Amboseli
Breakfast at the Hotel. 0830 hours  -  depart for drive via Namanga to Amboseli National Park, to arrive for lunch at the Lodge. Late afternoon game viewing  drive  in Amboseli park till sunset.  Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 3: Day in Amboseli
Morning and late afternoon game drives.  Amboseli  National Park is home to wild animals, and  is renowned for its large herds of free-ranging African elephants. There are over 900 African elephants in Amboseli.  Other animals. include the buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest among other African animals. There is also a host of Kenya birds, both large and small, to see if you keep your eyes open and stop at every sighting.  All meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 4: Drive Amboseli in Kenya and drive  to Lake Manyara - Tanzania
Breakfast at your lodge in Amboseli. After breakfast, depart for Tanzania. You arrive Namanga border by around 1030 hours and proceed to cross into Tanzania.  Lunch in Arusha Town. Proceed on to Lake Manyara National park for a short game drive and check in. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena  hotel.

Day 5: Drive Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro
Early morning game drive in Lake Manyara park. Breakfast at the lodge. Depart with a short game drive en route to Ngorongoro. Arrive Ngorongoro in time for lunch.  Afternoon rest on the lodge till sunset. Dinner and overnight Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 6: Day in Ngorongoro Crater
Today you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a full day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 7: Drive Ngorongoro to Serengeti Wilderness
After breakfast, depart  for the Serengeti via  Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue driving to Serengeti. Lunch at Serengeti Serena Lodge.  Afternoon game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge or similar.

Day 8:  Game Drives in  Serengeti
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast.  Full day game viewing with packed lunche in the Serengeti game reserve till sunset. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge or similar.

Day 9: Serengeti to Lake Victoria Shores
Breakfast at your lodge. Then depart heading northwards.  Arrive at the shores of Lake Victoria in time for lunch at your hotel. Afternoon relaxation. Dinner and overnight at Speke Bay Resort.

Day 10: Drive to Maasai Mara
Breakfast. Depart with picnic lunch and head for Isebania border.  Cross over into Kenya and drive to Maasai Mara with game drive on the Mara plains. You arrive the lodge in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge or similar.

Day 11: Day in  Masai Mara
All day in Masai Mara. Activities include visit to local masai village.  All meals and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge or similar.

Day 12: Drive to Nairobi - Depart
Early morning game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast.  Leave the Mara for Nairobi to arrive in the early afternoon. Lunch at Nairobi hotel.  Transfer to the airport for home bound flight.

End of services
