Zambia Safaris

Safaris from Lusaka
Lusaka became the capital city of Zambia (then Nortthern Rhodesia) in 1935, taking over from Livingstone. With a population of over 2 million inhabitants, it is still one of the fastest growing cities in this part of Africa.

Most tourist and safari destinations can be accessed from Lusaka both by air and by road.

African Safaris are traditionally experienced in a vehicle. However, nothing is quite as exciting as a walking safari, where you have the opportunity to witness the unexpected , where you can silently stalk wild animals through the undergrowth, and where you can tentatively come upon a clearing wondering just what excitement will await you as you emerge. Such safaris are unique to Zambia’s Luangwa Valley, which offers one of the greatest concentrations of game in Africa. For Tours and safaris starting from Lusaka Click Here

Tours From Livingstone

The town of Livingstone was named after the Victorian explorer Dr David Livingstone. The town was established in 1905 and was the capital city of Northern Rhodesia from 1911 to 1935. As the capital, it enjoyed excellent facilities far superior to anything in the country, as can be seen from the surviving Edwardian colonial buildings that line the city's main road.

The Livingstone Museum is the country's biggest and oldest museum, dating back to the 1930's. It has five sections. The Archaeology Gallery, describes human evolution and cultural development in Zambia from Stone Age to Iron Age. The Ethnography and Art Gallery shows objects relating to the different cultures of the country including handicrafts, musical instruments. Livingstone is a must of first timers, adventurers and those history and steam engine enthusiast.

Because of Livingstone’s proximity to the spectacular Victoria Falls and the great Zambezi River, the town has become a starting point for Safari seekers wanting to explore Zambia and most of southern Africa destinations. For Tours and activities starting from Livingstone Click Here
