Routing: Entebbe- Kibale Forest - Queen Elizabeth Park - Bwindi - Entebbe.
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe
On arrival Entebbe airport, you are met by Hallmark Travel Planners representative and transfer to Lake Victoria Hotel. Visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens if time allows. Dinner and overnight at Lake Victoria Hotel.
Day 2: Drive Entebbe – Kibale Forest
Breakfast at the Hotel. After breakfast, commence drive via the Lake Victoria Basin to Kibale Forest area - the drive is a full day of approximately seven hours. You will pass through beautiful agricultural countryside.
Upon reaching Kyanjojo, in the lower foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains - Mountains of the Moon, drive through beautiful tea plantations and into Kibale tropical rain forest, to Ndali Lodge. Beautiful Ndali Lodge is situated on a high saddle between two crater lakes. The breathtaking views and cooler climate at Ndali are just some of its best features. The lodge was built by the late Captain Mark Price, a British tea farmer, and is managed as a working farm by his family today. The rooms are decorated in local crafts and materials, and feature high ceilings and four-poster beds with mosquito netting. The en suite baths have hot and cold running water and flush toilets. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge.
Day 3: Day in Kibale Forest
Today, you will be taken for forest and swamp walks to see the rain forest and view birds and primates, including chimpanzees. Walking is not difficult, paths have been made in the forest and all walks are with excellent local guides. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge.
Day 4: Drive Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth - Bwindi
After breakfast at Kibale, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable forest via Queen Elizabeth National Park (about 7 1/2 hours driving). The route passes through Fort Portal and then south along the eastern length of the Rwenzori Mountains -Mountains of the Moon, with chances of seeing the glaciated peaks, weather permitting. This is a full day drive, gently descending into The Great African Rift Valley and passing through the scenic area known as ‘The Switzerland of East Africa’. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp.
Day 5: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking day
After breakfast at the camp, take a short drive to Park Headquarters and meet with excellent local guides and trackers who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest where the gorillas were seen the night before and track from that point.
The trekking can take up to 6 hours and climb to altitudes in excess of 7,500 feet. The terrain is rough and at times muddy. Although the hike is physically demanding the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make the trekking worthwhile. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world. Cameras and plenty of fast speed film is recommended. It can rain at a few minutes notice; hence waterproof clothing is a good essential including zip lock bags for cameras and film. Picnic lunches are provided and it is important to take plenty of water. Thereafter return to the Camp. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp.
Day 6: Bwindi – Kayonza – Charter flight to Entebbe – Depart
Transfer to Kayonza for return charter flight to Entebbe Airport. Connect onto departure flight. Meal plan: Breakfast and lunch

Remarks
Persons under 15 years cannot take part in gorilla tracking tours.

- Transportation on safari in 4x4 vehicle, driven by English-speaking driver/guide.
- Park entrance fees
- Gorilla and chimpanzee tracking permit(s) as indicated on the itinerary (cost indicated separately)
- Charter flight Kayonza – Entebbe as indicated on the itinerary
NOTE: Above rates are based on using the following aircrafts with specified maximum plane loads:
a) For 1 or 2 persons, a Cessna 172 – maximum total load not to exceed 180 kilograms
b) For 3 or 4 persons, a Cessna 210 – maximum total load not to exceed 350 kilograms
a) For 5 to 6 persons, a BN2 Islander – maximum total load not to exceed 650 kilograms
If the total weight of the clients and their luggage exceed the payloads indicated above, then a second or larger plane will be required.
WE MUST KNOW IN ADVANCE IN ORDER TO BOOK THE RELEVANT PLANE(S) REQUIRED. UGANDA DOES NOT HAVE MANY PRIVATE CHARTER PLANES.
