Day 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met by Hallmark Travel Planner’ escort and transfer to the Tamarind Tree Hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. You are booked on bed and breakfast at the city hotel. Overnight at Tamarind Tree Hotel. http://tamarindtree-hotels.com/

Day 2: Air transfer to Masa Mara  Reserve

Buffet breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to Wilson Airport for the 1 hour flight  to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya’s finest and best known game reserve.  Lunch at at your safari camp. Afternoon game viewing drive. The greatest attraction in the Mara is watching the animals in their natural element; a lion’s roar, a cheetah making a kill, and the big elephant herds are all very fascinating events. This is the traditional land of the Masai people, nomadic herders who choose a traditional lifestyle and who are permitted to graze their cattle in the area. A proud and largely aloof tribe who have held on to their customs and traditions for hundreds of years. The park’s habitats include the forests along the banks of the Mara and Talek Rivers, acacia forests and open savannah. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.

Days 3: Days in Maasai Mara- Game Drives

The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain’s game including the Black Maned Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. It also has numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife available in Kenya. You will have extended game drives during the day and will also be able to enjoy the rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. All meals and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 4: Road Transfer Masai Mara to Serengeti, Tanzania

Today you take an early breakfast and leave with PACKED LUNCH to cross the border into Tanzania. You arrive the Isebania border town by around 1100 hours. After customs and immigration procedure, our counterparts from the Tanzania partner office meet you for the drive into Serengeti Game Reserve.
With game drive en route, you will arrive Serengeti at around 1500 hours. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Safari lodge.

Serengeti National Park is one of the best-known wildlife sanctuaries in the world, and was recently declared as one of the seven natural wonders of Africa. It covers an area of about 14763sq kms, with various vegetation, grassy plains, savanna acacia lands, wooden hills and mountains which are the backdrops for an extraordinary concentration of animals which reaches its peak during the wildebeest migration.

It is said to be around 2 million of wildebeests in Serengeti that migrate every year from Massai Mara plains. Serengeti is among of the world’s remaining natural wildlife refuges. The name comes from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains and is equal in size to Northern Ireland. The Park contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in seasonal migration which makes it one of natures’ wonders.

Day 5: Safaris and Photography in Serengeti

Full day game viewing with optional of packed lunch or return to the lodge for Lunch and proceed with afternoon game drive in Endless of Serengeti national Park till sunset. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Drive Serengeti to Ngorongoro – Crater Tour

After early breakfast, depart Serengeti with packed lunches, driving southwards through the Ngorongoro Conservancy area.  Short visit of the Olduvai Gorge.

By mid-morning descend into the crater for tour of the crater floor, running till just before sunset.  Due to the enclosed nature of the Crater it has virtually formed its own ecosystem. Besides the stunning scenery, one of the main attractions of this area is the variety of flora and fauna found in a remarkably compact area all year round. Drive to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge

Day 7:  Safaris in Lake Manyara

This morning drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National park for a full day game drive that will run till sunset.

Lake Manyara National Park provides a unique wilderness experience. Including diverse landscapes such as the Rift Valley soda lake, open grasslands, dense woodlands and stunning mountainsides.

In the north of Tanzania, Lake Manyara National Park centres around its eponymous alkaline lake, a key habitat for hundreds of bird species. Between November and April, thousands of greater and lesser pink flamingos gather on its shores, along with pink-backed pelicans, yellow-billed storks, grey herons and pods of hippo.

Surrounding the lake are marshlands, grassy plains and acacia woodlands, home to tree-climbing lion and long-tusked elephant. Giraffe strut across the grasslands, where herds of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest graze.

As well as enjoying game drives and walking safaris, you can visit the Maji Moto hot springs to soak in the warm, clear water under the shade of leafy trees.
Just before sunset, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge.

Day 8: Drive to Arusha  –  Flight  Arusha to Zanzibar

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, transfer to the airport for flight to Zanzibar.  On arrival in Zanzibar you will be met by Hallmark Travel Planner’s representative and transferred to Zanzibar Palace Hotel.

Day 9: Days at the beach in Zanzibar

After breakfast, depart for a Tour of the Stone Town and Spice Island. In the late afternoon, drive to the beach resort –  Neptune Pwani Beach Resort.

Days 10 and 11: Beach Rest and Relaxation

Spend the days enjoying beaches of Zanzibar and the Swahili way of living or at the resorts swimming pool. Scuba diving or diving course for beginners are available (at an Extra cost) at most of the beach resorts in Zanzibar.  Dinner and Overnight at your hotel – Neptune Pwani  Beach Resort.

Day 12. Flight to Arusha or Nairobi – Depart

Morning in Zanzibar till lunch time. After lunch,  check out and transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your flight out of East Africa.
