Day 1: Arrive Africa  – Cape Town

After a late afternoon or early evening arrival in South Africa’s second-largest and most scenic and snazzy city, you will be met by Hallmark Travel Planners representative and drive to your hotel – Parliament Hotel Cape Town.

Day 2: Cape Town Tours – Penguins

Pick up at  around 0900 hours.  Enjoy a day tour to Hout Bay, Boat trip to Seal island, Cape Peninsula National park and penguins at Boulders.

Cape Town
Scenic Hout Bay is a lively coastal town that lies in a protected bay between Chapman’s Peak and Mount Sentinel. Getting there is an easy and beautiful drive from the city centre. Apart from its scenic beauty, Hout Bay is well known for its fishing prowess and is the epi-centre of Cape Town’s crayfish industry.

Then proceed on a 40-minute scenic excursion to Duiker Island, home to a squad of blubbery, bewhiskered cape fur seals. Snap away at the doe-eyed pups and their slick and slippery parents barking out warnings. The glass-bottomed boats offer a convenient porthole through which to spy the seals zipping past underwater.  The Cape Peninsula is the thin finger of land in the south-western most corner of Africa, with the city of Cape Town at its head. As you travel south towards Cape Point, the land gets narrower until it disappears into the ocean, with nothing beyond except Antarctica. Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Cape Town – Table Mountain

Today we tour the magnificent Table Mountain. We’ll ascend to the top [weather permitting] by a revolving cable car.  See wild flowers and the famous silver tree, and marvel at a birds-eye view of the city and its beaches.

On a clear day it is even possible to see Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned on one side and Cape Point on the other side.  Spend the afternoon at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, a vibrant location for entertainment, shopping and restaurants. Overnight at your hotel in Cape Town.
